Song change.

As my filming came together and I actually started to film my music video, the narrative and the 'feel' of the video didn't fit my choice of song what so ever, which is why I have made the creative decision to change my choice of song. The new song, which is named 'Strangle Kojak - Away I Go' is still by the same artist, but this song will fit my music video a lot better than my original choice of song.

My ideas and concepts have changed a lot over the period of this task, which I feel is a good thing as it shows my thought process along the way. In order for me to get the grade I'm aiming for, I'm willing to make creative changes, such as this one.

Filming update.

This weekend, I was able to get a good percentage of my filming complete. Me and my actor met up at her house, located in Pershore, where I was able to film without any difficulty. I go nearly all of the inside filming done, and all that is left to film now is some of the shots which need to taken in town and some more inside shots. I have booked out a camera again for this evening (28/01/2013), which means I will be able to get most of my outside filming complete.

Filming update.

After the previous week and the bad weather conditions we have had, I have had to re-arrange my filming times, as shown in my last few posts on my blog. Now that the weather has calmed down and the snow is disappearing, I will be able to film tonight on the 25/01/2013.

As my actor has had exams and revision over the last week too, this has also made it difficult to arrange times that are best for both of us, but I am now able to travel to hers tonight to film. 

Weather #2.

Due to weather conditions over this weekend, I have been unable to film any footage for my project, as my actor is snowed in and I'm unable to travel to hers to film. I will see how the weather turns out over the next few days, and hopefully I will be able to arrange another time to which I can film.

Weather.

As I said in my last post, I am scheduled to be filming tomorrow, but there have been warnings of bad weather conditions for that day. If I am unable to film, I will have to re-schedule, depending on how long the bad weather conditions last.

Filming Update.

On the 16/01/2013, I managed to finally sort out a filming schedule where I will be able to film the entirety of my project, organising it with my model, discussing when we were both free to film.

Filming will take place between the 19/01/2013 - 21/01/2013. My equipment has all been booked out today ready for these dates.

Digipak feedback.

For my digipak and magazine, we were asked to gather audience feedback for our work. To do this, we could either use online social networking sites to gather information and feedback, or, physically go and gather feedback. I decided to use Facebook.com to gather my feedback, getting up a group and publishing my photos online, letting people (who were the age of my target audience) see my finished product. Project update.

During half term, I decided to look more deeply into the narrative for my project, deciding what will happen at what specific time. I did this by looking at my shot list again, this time in a lot more detail and working out a proper narrative structure by doing so. I also got in contact with my possible model/actor who will be taking part in my project, discussing with her more possible times, narrative ideas, locations, ect. We have both decided the best location for filming would be Worcester, as it is easy to get to for both of us, and there are a lot more people there who we both know and who can get involved in the project itself. Plus, when filming in a location that is easy to get to and is quite familiar to us both, we will therefore have more time for filming. Whilst discussing ideas for the project itself, we discussed possible ideas for other people/friends who would be willing to take part in the project itself, yet we are still waiting to hear a reply from a few people. Although, quite a few other people have got back in contact with us and agreed to take part.

Animatic.

I have only created my animatic for the minute and a half of my chosen track, as I feel it shows enough of what my concept it and how I plan to achieve it, through different camera shots and locations.
